Privacy Policy
Orbion is a game. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no profile. Almost everything it knows about you stays on your phone. This page lists the two exceptions, in full.
What stays on your device
- Which levels you have cleared and how many stars you earned.
- Your sound and haptics settings.
- Whether you bought the ad-free unlock.
None of this is sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.
The global ranking board
When you open the global board, the app sends three things to our server: a random identifier the app generated on your device the first time it ran, the pilot name you chose, and how many levels and stars you have. That is the whole message.
The identifier is not your device ID, your advertising ID or anything Apple or Google issued. It is a random string with no meaning outside this board, it never leaves the app for any other purpose, and resetting the app abandons it rather than following you.
We do not store your IP address, your location or your device model. Ranking data is held on Cloudflare's network for as long as the board exists. To have your row removed, email the address below with the pilot name you used.
Advertising
Orbion's free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob: a full-screen ad between levels, and optional ads you choose to watch in exchange for a hint, a look at the global board, or a level skip.
To serve those ads, Google may collect and use data as described in its own policies — this can include your device's advertising identifier, coarse location derived from your IP address, and information about how you interact with ads. We never see this data ourselves and we cannot access it. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's privacy policy.
On first launch the app asks for your advertising choices through Google's consent form. You can decline. Declining changes nothing about the game: every level, every hint and the board all still work, and the ads simply become less specific to you. You can change your answer any time from Settings → Ad privacy options.
On iPhone and iPad, Orbion does not ask to track you across other companies' apps and websites, because it does not do that. Its ads there are never personalised using an identifier tied to you across apps.
Buying the ad-free unlock stops the between-level ads. When you own it, the ads SDK is never started at all — no consent form and no ad requests.
Purchases
The one-time purchase is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details, your name or your email address. All we store is a yes/no flag on your own device saying the unlock is owned.
Children
Orbion is rated for everyone and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
